I study how AI and other emerging technologies shape human social experience, particularly as they come to be perceived and engaged as social actors. I examine and speculate on these evolving human-technology relations through the design of new artifacts and systems, alongside human-centered research methods.
I take an interdisciplinary approach to human-centered AI, drawing on perspectives from design, engineering, psychology, STS, and the social sciences. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of AI and Design at the University of Florida. I hold a Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. in Industrial Design from KAIST.
I’d be happy to connect!
